The Ballad Of El Goodo
6 days left until Patterson James Thacker comes into the world. Lisa went in for an ultra sound last Wednesday and at that point he was 8lbs and showed no interest in dropping down to the world. The doctor confirmed this week that Lisa still has not diliated and will need a c-section. So on December 15, 2009 at 7am CST Patterson will join our circus!
Here are a couple of pictures of his room. He will have to fight Miles for time on the soft orange rug. Considering the doctor estimates he'll be between 9 and 10lbs next week it won't be long until he starts to win. Just another chapter in the Adventure of Patterson and Miles.

In Memory of James D. Nash
Lisa's grandpa passed away Saturday morning. He was 92 years old and could tell stories for days. He was a real important person in Lisa's life and will be greatly missed. We drove back to Iowa for the visitation and funeral. He had a house and some land in southern Iowa near where he grew up. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Chinese Checkers
Its been a long time but we finally got some pictures to update the blog. Lisa made a quick journey back to Kansas City and Iowa earlier in the month. Her Brother was in town from Alaska and some how they ended up hanging out with baby goats. I have proof.
8 more weeks until Lebron James Thacker comes. We've already been positioning ourselves to start his empire. First endorsement: Sippy Gatorade Cups. We're going to be rich!
Seriously though, we're working on the name. A lot of drafting, planning, and Booker T. and the MGs have gone into it to make sure the name is just right. We promise.

We're Going Mo-Bile
It has been a month since we updated this and I figured after attending our first baby class last night it was a good time. Its been a busy past few weeks. My parent's came to visit two weekends ago and last weekend was Labor Day weekend. We painted the babies room and bought a crib. This weekend we'll start getting the guest room moved upstairs and fully transform it into Lebron's Lair.
Last Saturday we head down to Altamont, TN. A fellow I've been playing with, Trapper Haskins (http://trapperhaskins.com/), had a Hill Billy Golf Tournament. He lives on a 12 acre farm near the Cumberland Plateau which is about a hour south east of Nashville. We didn't particapte in the tournament, but we did get to eat some of the cow he had slaughtered for the event. My friend Ry (Cormic's father) and I also played a few songs with him. Here are some pictures that Ry's wife took. Oh and the mason jar is some Grundy County Moon Shine. Little Cormic was especially interested in the jar and kept telling us that it was the piano that was drinking, not him...
