In Memory of James D. Nash

Lisa's grandpa passed away Saturday morning. He was 92 years old and could tell stories for days. He was a real important person in Lisa's life and will be greatly missed. We drove back to Iowa for the visitation and funeral. He had a house and some land in southern Iowa near where he grew up. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Chinese Checkers

Its been a long time but we finally got some pictures to update the blog. Lisa made a quick journey back to Kansas City and Iowa earlier in the month. Her Brother was in town from Alaska and some how they ended up hanging out with baby goats. I have proof.

8 more weeks until Lebron James Thacker comes. We've already been positioning ourselves to start his empire. First endorsement: Sippy Gatorade Cups. We're going to be rich!

Seriously though, we're working on the name. A lot of drafting, planning, and Booker T. and the MGs have gone into it to make sure the name is just right. We promise.

We're Going Mo-Bile

It has been a month since we updated this and I figured after attending our first baby class last night it was a good time. Its been a busy past few weeks. My parent's came to visit two weekends ago and last weekend was Labor Day weekend. We painted the babies room and bought a crib. This weekend we'll start getting the guest room moved upstairs and fully transform it into Lebron's Lair.

Last Saturday we head down to Altamont, TN. A fellow I've been playing with, Trapper Haskins (http://trapperhaskins.com/), had a Hill Billy Golf Tournament. He lives on a 12 acre farm near the Cumberland Plateau which is about a hour south east of Nashville. We didn't particapte in the tournament, but we did get to eat some of the cow he had slaughtered for the event. My friend Ry (Cormic's father) and I also played a few songs with him. Here are some pictures that Ry's wife took. Oh and the mason jar is some Grundy County Moon Shine. Little Cormic was especially interested in the jar and kept telling us that it was the piano that was drinking, not him...

It's a boy Mrs. Walker it's a boy

Tommy reference for you in the know.

The day finally came where we can stop calling the baby "it" or "Lebron/Lebronda". Once again the little man was moving around quite a bit and they weren't able to get all the pictures done or take a good whole baby picture. Poor Lisa was on the table for 45 minutes. The doctor said everything was looking great. Here are some of the ultra sound pictures.

The baby showing off his Mick Jagger lips.

The babies feet. (We're leaning towards a Nike endorsement but still waiting to hear back from Adidas)

Baby Junk. Its a boy.

Camping

It was unseasonably cool here in Tennessee this weekend so Lisa, Miles, Lebron/Lebronda, and I decided to head southeast to go camping. It was great and of course we forgot the camera on our hike to the waterfalls. Miles has decided that he belongs on the top of picnic tables. He always has and always will.

Two more weeks until we find out if we're having a Lebron or a Lebronda.
